Chapter 01
Installation and setup done right the first time
Winters in Grande Prairie are brutal on equipment. A cold engine is slow to turn over, hydraulics stiffen, and a cab that starts the shift below freezing wears the operator down before the work begins. A Webasto heater takes the edge off all of it, but only if it is installed properly. Whether the unit goes under a seat base, into a cab or onto a piece of equipment that sits idle between jobs, the install has to suit the machine and the way it is used.
Installation is where a heater is made or spoiled. The unit has to be mounted where it can breathe and be reached for service, the ducting has to be routed so warm air goes where it is needed, and the fuel and electrical connections have to be clean and secure. We handle the full installation and setup, and we sell Webasto units, so the heater and the install come from the same shop. If something about your machine makes the usual mounting spot a poor choice, we work that out before any drilling starts, not after.
Our crew are licensed electricians and heavy-duty mechanics, which suits the job. A heater is part electrical system and part mechanical install, and both halves get done by people qualified for them.

Fast diagnostics and repairs when a heater will not fire
A heater that fails to light on the coldest morning of the week costs you more than the heater. The truck sits, the crew waits, and the schedule slides. A heater that is only half working is nearly as bad, because it fails slowly and nobody trusts it when the temperature drops. When a Webasto will not fire, runs rough, or shuts itself off, we troubleshoot it fast and work back from the symptom to the actual fault.
Because we cover the electrical side and the mechanical side in one visit, the diagnosis is not split between two shops. We check the controls and wiring, the fuel supply, the combustion side and the ducting, then repair what is wrong and confirm the unit runs before we leave.

Chapter 03
Preventative maintenance before the cold sets in
The cheapest Webasto repair is the one you do in the fall, not the one you scramble for in January. A preventative maintenance visit gets the heater inspected and serviced while the weather is still kind, so small problems are found and fixed on a warm afternoon and not at the first hard frost. A worn connection, a blocked duct or a heater that has been slow to start all season are easy to deal with in October and miserable to deal with in the dark at the bottom of a cold snap.
Maintenance programs suit fleets and owner-operators alike. Pick a time before winter, and we will look over each unit, its connections and its ducting, and tell you plainly what is sound and what needs work.
